I. IDENTIFYING DATA:

 Common Title:  MAR

Title:  Movimiento de Accion Revolucionaria
           Revolutionary Action Movement
           Movimiento de Accion Recuperadora
           Revolutionary Recovery Movement

Signed pact with BOAC under name Movimiento de Accion Revolucionaria.  End 1960 affiliated with UR using title Movimiento de Accion Recuperadora.  When UR split MAR remained in RODRIGUEZ Espada faction.  SEIGLIE member of UR Executive Board.  Advocate democratic form government under 1940 Constitution.  Not related to smaller Movimiento Anticomunista Revolucionario (MAR) q. v. in Part III.

Leading Personalities:  In U. S. Dr. Mario SEIGLIE Montero, aka "MAYITO"; Mary ROSADO, aka "DIANA"; Septimio SARDINAS; Juan MENDEZ; Julio Warterio DARNAS; and Andres SAR-ALVAREZ y Andreu.  In Puerto Rico:  Alfredo BOFILL.  In Cuba:  Gregorio Ineido INDA Perez, MAR founder (in prison); Jose
AGUIRRECHU Pacheco, aka "GUSTAVO".

II.  HISTORY

After Playa Giron invasion movement practically non-existent.  SEIGLIE came to U. S.  Left ROSADO and AGUIRRECHU in charge.  Movement apparently never very active in Cuba.  SEIGLIE sold some bonds. 

III.  CURRENT STATUS

No current program of action.  Simply following UR.  SEIGLIE's leadership in exile criticized by AGUIRRECHU and ROSADO.  Few members have little status in exile community.
