I. IDENTIFYING DATA:

Frente Anticomunista de Liberacion (CUBA)
Anti-Communist Liberation Front
Totalitarian, leftist program including nationalization of industry,
virtual abolition of private ownership. Only one known
representative outside Cuba. Inside organization highly suspect,
either as G-2 creature or as thoroughly penetrated. Military
background. Two branches claimed inside: Civic Resistance
and Clandestine Army. Denies political connection, and wishes to
remain out of politics. Opposed to the CRC.
Leading Personalities: In U. S. Salvador TORRES Morales. In
Cuba: Jorge RUIZ Segura (war name); Lucio FLAVIO (war name);
Seneca LUCAS (war name); Julio LOPEZ (war name); Jose Antonio VILLAMIL
Arias; Pedro GONZALEZ.
II. HISTORY
Claims membership of former and present members of Rebel Army and
militia. MRP feared FAL, as the FAL too interested in knowing
about other organizations, and in June 63 MRP was attempting to arrange
test.
III. CURRENT STATUS
FAL was active in planned August "uprising", and any legitimate members
were doubtless rounded up. GOC [Gov of Cuba] claimed six FAL
members were executed as a result.
