PART II:  SECONDARY ORGANIZATIONS

I. IDENTIFYING DATA:

Common Title:  E. I. C.

Title:  Ejercito Invasor Cubano
         Cuban Invading Army

Claim to be an anti-Communist organization which until August 1962 was composed of three groups; FAYCA, DR (formerly DR of 13 Marzo), and FEU (which has now separated itself from the movement).  Represents elements which wish to produce deeds which would merit recognition by future Government of Cuba; overthrow of Castro apparently secondary aid.  Members belong to other militant groups.  No definite political orientation.  Talk anti-BATISTA as well as anti-CASTRO but have attempted solicit funds from pro-BATISTA elements.

Leading Personalities:  In  U. S.:  Ramiro DE LA CRUZ, political social coordinator;  Eladio DEL VALLE Gutierrez (aka  "YITO"); Eduardo CABRO; Julio A. MORE (former rep of FEU); M. RAMOS; Camilo Garciano CORTES Silvera; Juan MONTES Quintana. In Cuba:  Juan GARCIA in prison, supposedly betrayed infil group of ETC members sent to Cuba; all captured.

II.  HISTORY

Claim to have made trips and delivered weapons to Cuba by sea; to have a training camp; and to have a warehouse for weapon storage.  Directors of EIC have reputation among exiles as gangsters and delinquents.  Actual existence of clandestine operations unconfirmed.

III.  CURRENT STATUS

Effectiveness of EIC considered very limited if it exists at all Group lacks funds as well as basic principals and programs.
