primarily in production and distribution of propaganda. Works
closely with CRC as an advisory group but is not a full member of CRC.

II. HISTORY
Date and Place of Origin: In Cuba shortly after Castro's
accession to power. Exile group established in Miami in November
1960 as a member of the FRD. Later became independent
organization.
Activities: Primarily preparation and distribution of
anti-Castro/Communist propaganda aimed at Latin America and Cuba.
Has developed a well organized and effective distribution mechanism,
whose printed prop material is circulating in quantity throughout Latin
America. Concerned primarily with problems in the educational
field; warns Latin American countries of the communist threat; attempts
to develop resistance inside Cuba to Communist indoctrination and
propaganda; and seeks solutions to the problems which will arise in a
free Cuba. Buys radio time; sponsors tours of selected members to
Latin American countries; corresponds with teachers and special
interest groups throughout Latin America; participates in international
teachers' conferences; prepares taped radio prop programs beamed at
Cuba.
III. CURRENT STATUS
Governed by an Executive Committee of 26 persons, 20 of whom are
salaried. Claims membership of over 2000, with some 1650 in the
Miami area; 160 in other parts of the U. S.; and approximately 480
members or associates in Latin American countries. DMR is a U. S.
sponsored and financed organization. No capacity for nor any
connection with any military plan for action against Cuba.
