Press Note
Cuban Anti-Communist League (LAC)
At a meeting held on the afternoon of 26 November 1975, under the
chairmanship of Mr. RAMIRO DE LA FE, in substitution due to the illness
of DR. SALVADOR DIAZ VERSON, the following accord was taken in
unanimity.
Departing from the basis that the Cuban Anti-Communist League is a
vehicle for frontal attack against international communism and against
Castro's agents on American soil, and because of the close ties to
other anti-Communist organisms at the continental level, we (LAC) have
decided to give our backing to the group of anti-Communist senators
headed by Jesse Helms and Richard Stone. We are also reserving
the right to make specific suggestions by the channels which we may
consider pertinent to that honorable group of senators who are
undertaking the fight against international communism. Also the
Cuban Anti-Communist League (LAC) wants to express in a manner which is
clear and final that it (LAC) will fight so that this initial
undertaking and any future plans which are carried out by these
American senators cannot be distorted or sabotaged by any one group or
person, rather that it will be a triumph for all Cubans and all
anti-Communist fighters in general. The Cuban Anti-Communist
League will collaborate with all other anti-Communist organisms at the
continental level, vigilant so that this will not happen. The
Cuban Anti-Communist League wants to re-state that it is an
agglutinating organization where all men and women who cherish liberty
are welcomed.

RAMIRO DE LA FE
