The Many Faces of
ROLANDO MASFERRER

Some believe Rolando Masferrer was a pudgy man with sun glasses.  Here is presented a look at the man from a young boy to a month before his death.

Also here are a few Masferrer associates and relatives. (This list will be added to periodically)

Photo of Masferrer  as a young man , from the aunt who raised him.
1947... A picture taken during the Cayo Confites  (Dominican) invasion with his brother Kiki.

1950s.. sitting with  Carlos Prio .
........... with his wife Lucila at  the Riviera Hotel in Havana.
........... at his  beach house in Cuba (possibly Bahia Honda)
........... talking to  Rio Chaviano (probably in the late '50s)
........... dressed in western wear on a  ranch in Cuba is Kiki Masferrer and wife.
........... the house of  Alejandro Rojas Cano in  Arroyo Arenas . Alejandro, Rolando's uncle, raised him when he was younger.  Rolando attended  school  in Texas and Oklahoma when Alejandro was being trained by the U.S. Army in the 1930s.

1959... leaving the INS McAllen detention center in Texas.
1959... Miami Beach mug shot for  stealing the car of Daniel Vasquez whose wife he was seeing.
1961... detained by INS to keep him out of the BOP  invasion by order of  the President .

1960s.. pumping gas in New Jersey .
............ taking  flying lessons in New Jersey.
............ at an anti-Castro meeting  in New York with comrades in arms.
............ while working as a reporter he covered the campaign of William Buckley in NY.
............ in  Miami .
1967... Being detained with Auria Poggio after  Project Nassau .
1967... In front of the courthouse with Rolandito  during his trial for invading Haiti.
1968... After jumping bail for the 1967 invasion of Haiti he went into hiding .
1968... A mug shot taken after he turned  himself in case 67-105.
1972... In prison  at Marion, IL after transfer from Atlanta.
1973... Photo taken  in the editorial office of Libertad Newspaper on Flagler Street.
1974... The last picture taken of  Masferrer alive.
