BONGO

The Bongo originated in Cuba and Puerto Rico.  The bongo is a small, wooden double drum that is played with the fingers. The heads, which are 5 inches and 7 inches around, and turned apart from each other. The bongo player is called a bongocero (bongocera for a woman) who rests the bongo on his or her calves.
