ALPHA 66 RAID ON CUBA
From the files of Alpha 66 come these photographs of a raid on Cuba. For raids there are at least two ships, the mother ship and
one or more smaller vessels to transport the raiding party to the target. It was never easy to conduct raids on Cuba.
The U.S. Government used many means to detect raids.
First there were informants, then bridge tenders working for U.S. Customs.
If not enough, there were daily Coast Guard patrols which photographed every vessel in or around Cuba,
along with cooperation from the British Navy operating in the Bahamas.
