Cuban Exiles Protest Gonzalo Rubalcava

The following information has been received by this office:

Cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcava will be performing at the Guzman Hall, located at 174 East Flagler Street, Miami, Florida, on April 10, 1996, at 6:00 p.m.  In the past, Rubalcava has embraced Cuba's communist ideologies and as a result, a consortium of Cuban exile anti-Castro organizations will be demonstrating at the Guzman Hall site.

According to U.S. Justice Department Community Relations Service, a crowd of 800-1000 demonstrators are expected to be in attendance at Guzman Hall throughout the extent of the event.

City of Miami Police Department has not yet issued a permit for this event and it is unknown whether the concerned organizations will proceed with their plans to demonstrate at the site.

The Criminal Intelligence Bureau will monitor the event and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
