The following information has been received by this office:

On Saturday, March 16, 1996, from 11:00 a.m., through 2:00 p.m., the Antonio Maceo Brigade, the Alianza de Trabajadores de la Comunida, (A.T.C.) And an assortment of other organizations that support the Cuban government will be holding a demonstration at Bicentennial Park, located at Biscayne Boulevard between 10th and 11th Streets.  Parking for group members will be routed to Biscayne and 9th Street.

In the past, the above listed organizations have been targeted by other South Florida organizations that share opposing political points of view and violent confrontations have occurred.

The City of Miami Police Department is fully aware of ongoing plans for this demonstrations and have awarded a permit to the participating organizations.

The Metro-Dade Police Criminal Intelligence Bureau will monitor this demonstration.  Additional information will be forwarded as it becomes available.
