On Saturday, February 17, 1996, a group of Cuban exiles will host a fund raiser at the Airport Hilton Hotel, located at 5101 Blue Lagoon Drive.
The event is being held in honor of Democrat Senators John Carry and Christopher Dodd. The event hostess is Vivian Mannerud, owner of ABC Charters Inc.
Several prominent Cuban exiles, such as Eloy Gutierrez-Menoyo, Francisco Aruca, and Alfredo Duran will be in attendance at the event. In the past, several of those participants previously mentioned have been the focus of much criticism as a result of their close ties to the Cuban government.
The event has been scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m., to 12:00 noon. Approximately 60 invitees will be in attendance.
The Criminal Intelligence Section will monitor this event. Additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
