The following information has been received by this office:

On Saturday, September 9, 1995, at 1:45 p.m. the National Network on Cuba, a coalition of approximately 70 leftist organizations will host a press conference at the Holiday Inn Hotel, located at 2201 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach.

The coalition will specifically address its membership's intent to abolish the present economic and cultural embargo which impedes normal relations between the United States and Cuba.

Since the views of this coalition are opposed by a majority of those Cuban exiles that reside in South Florida, Andres Gomez, head of Antonio Maceo Brigade, has expressed his concerns for security at the site of the press conference.  As a result, this office has contacted the Miami Beach Police Department and has forwarded all available information.

The Criminal Intelligence Section will disseminate any new information expeditiously.

The following information has been received by this office:

On Saturday, September 9, 1995, at 8:30 a.m., Richard A. Nuccio, Senior Policy Advisor on Inter-American Affairs, will meet with moderate and liberal representatives of the Cuban exile community at the Airport Hilton Hotel, located at 5101 Lagoon Drive, Miami, Florida.

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss present and future economic and immigration policies between the United States and Cuba.  Due to the prominence of the invitees and the fact that they are perceived as Cuban government collaborators by a large segment of South Florida's Cuban exile community, there exists some concern that this event will attract hard-line Cuban exiles demonstrators
