The following information has been received by this office:

Preliminary information has revealed that Cuban President Fidel Castro will be attending a conference at the United Nations complex in New York City on the second week of October.

Such reports have been received with much discontent by a large number of Cuban exile activist organizations and as a result several protests or demonstrations are presently in the planning stages and will concur with Castro's visit.  Though this event is being held in New York City it is expected that several of those protests will be staged in South Florida on or about the dates of Castro's visit.  The following events are already scheduled to occur.

A large number of buses will transport Cuban exiles to New York City where they will participate in a massive demonstration at the United Nations Complex.

A contingency of vessels will partake in a flotilla that will make its way on the East River, New York, and will hold a demonstration in front of the United Nations Complex during the course of the proceedings.

Additional information will be disseminated expeditiously upon receipt.
