On June 6, 1995, the County Commission will be voting on a controversial construction issue proposed by Commissioner Miguel de la Portilla.
The Latin Builders Association is opposed to Commissioner Diaz de la Portilla's proposal and is planning a demonstration in front of the Commission Chambers.
Rumors circulating in the community seem to indicate that the Latin Builders Association will call for a work stoppage at 12:00 p.m., on June 6, 1995. They are requesting all members to respond to the County Commission Chambers before 5:00 p.m., and voice their discontent. It is estimated that 2500 members will attend.
The Criminal Intelligence Bureau will monitor the event and disseminate any new information expeditiously.
