The following information has been received by this office:

Members of the Cuban exile organization Commandos Maximo Gomez has previously planned to impede traffic access to or from Miami International Airport (M.I.A.) by dumping loads of rock fill at key locations near the entrance of the airport.  Through the efforts of bureau's sources, these plans were neutralized without incident, however, M.I.A. and the Port of Miami remains as the two choice locations for incidents of this nature.  Monitoring of the previously mentioned organization continues.

The following events involving civic and activist Cuban exile organizations will occur in the near future:

Thursday, 05/18/95 - Meeting of Cuban exile coalition leaders 8:00 p.m. Brigade 2506 Headquarters.  Topic of discussion will be the times and locations for the rally to be held on Saturday, May 27, 1995.

Friday, 05/19/95 - At12:00 Noon, the Kiwanis Club will hold a luncheon presentation of humanitarian awards, at the Sofitel Hotel, Miami, Florida.

Friday, 05/19/95 - Meeting and vigil of various organizations at Torch of Friendship, Biscayne Boulevard, at 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, 05/27/95 - Lady of Charity Church, (City of Miami) Cardinal Jaime Lucas Ortega of Havana, Cuba will hold a mass at that location 10:00 a.m.  Another mass will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral at 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, 05/28/95  - Cardinal Ortega will hold a mass at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Thomas University, located at 16500 N.W. 32nd Avenue, Miami, Florida.
Thousands of faithful followers are expected to be in attendance.

The following future activities have been planned by local Cuban exile organizations.

May 26, 27, 1995
Junta Patriotica Cubana (Cuban Patriotic Convergence) will host its 15th annual conference and elections, at the Raddison {Radisson} Mart Hotel, located at 711 N.W. 7th Street, Miami, Florida.

May 27, 28, 1995'
Cardinal Jaime Ortega, of Havana will celebrate a mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at La Ermita de la Caridad (Our Lady of the Shrine) located in the City of Miami.  Sunday, he will celebrate a mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas University.  A large attendance is expected.

June 8, 1995
Exile coalition of organizations will stage a march at the White House, Washington, D.C., in protest of recent U.S. Cuba immigration policies.

July 4, 1995
Cuban Unity is organizing an additional march at the White House, Washington, D.C., as a result of the same policies.

The Criminal Intelligence Section will monitor these events and disseminate any new information expeditiously.
