The Criminal Intelligence Bureau has received information regarding a press conference held on this date at the Centro Vasco Restaurant located at S.W. 23rd Avenue, and S.W. 8th Street, Miami, Florida.  The press conference was held by a group of pro-Castro, anti-Cuba-embargo group lead by Magda Montiel Davis who was one of the participants at the Havana Conference held earlier this year in Cuba.  Others like; Eddie Levy and Xiomara Almaquer were present during this conference.

The purpose of the conference was to announce the findings of an investigation conducted by the Human Rights Watch/Americas group.  This group's report indicates that the Cuban-American community is intolerant to differences of opinions; that the Spanish radio stations promote aggression and that local government leaders who are Cuban-Americans fail to denounce acts of intimidations.

Also during the press conference, Mrs. Montiel-Davis stated that the anti-Embargo or pro-Castro groups are organizing rallies and counter demonstrations to be held during the Summit of the Americas.  (Exact time and dates are unknown).

Other information received this date indicates that the two prominent pro-Castro groups; Antonio Maceo Brigade and the Alliance of Cuban workers (A.T.C.) headed by Andres Gomez and Walfrido Moreno are organizing a demonstration for December 8, 1994, at Bicentenial Park located at Biscayne Blvd., and N.E. 8th Street, Miami Florida.

The Criminal Intelligence Bureau will continue to monitor the preparation of these events and disseminate new information as it becomes available.
